On WDS National Committee of Japan
This committee was established in 2011 as a sub-committee of the Standing Committee of International Collaborations on Science Data (currently chaired by Prof. Yasuhiro Murayama, NICT) under the Committee of Information Sciences of Science Council of Japan. The principal objective of the National Committee is:

To share information on activities of WDS, including current discussions in WDS Scientific Committee

Promoting collaborations among data centers to enforce data activities in Japan

Promoting WDS-led activities on data in the Asia-Oceania area

Organizing WDS oriented international and domestic symposia

Collaboration with the CODATA National Committee, Japan, on interdisciplinary data sharing and establishment of the appropriate data citation system

Recruit WDS members bin Japan and Asia-Oceania
